The Killeen House, surrounded by 11/2 acres of beautifully mature gardens, is less than a 10 minute drive from downtown Killarney.
This hotel is in a wonderful location, when somebody thinks of Killarney, images of championship golf, incredible angling, unparalleled scenery and leisure facilities spring immediately to mind.
Built in 1838, in the Edwardian style, as a Rectory for Archdeacon Nathienal Forester. Before finding it's true role in life as a Charming little Hotel, the Killeen House saw service as a Farmhouse, a Dower House, an Old Folk's Home and believe it or not, a Maternity Home.
In 1992 Michael and Geraldine Rosney purchased Killeen House. Having had extensive experience in the hospitality industry, they had no doubts about the attractions the property had to offer.
It is set in 1.5 acres of beautifully manicured gardens. Originally built in 1838 as Archdeacon Nathaniel P. Foresters rectory, it was entirely renovated in 1990-91.
It now enjoys the charm and elegance of the early 19th century hand-in-hand with the comfort and convenience at the late 20th Century.
The Hotel has recently undergone a major renovation programme. Killeen House now comprises of 23 en suite bedrooms (8 of which are "deluxe").
