South West Ireland Classic - Day 6
Today you will play a course sometimes referred to as the St. Andrews of Ireland – Lahinch Golf Club (Old Course).
Several famous designers have played a role in the history of Lahinch including Old Tom Morris, Alistair Mackenzie and in more recent years The Hawtree Family. Visitors to Lahinch will experience a variety of links holes with no two holes being alike. Bunkers at Lahinch can be penal and if the Atlantic wind is blowing strong then course management really comes into play.
To visit Lahinch and not see the nearby Cliffs of Moher is considered a cardinal sin. Be sure to visit County Clare's most popular attraction where a wonderful photo opportunity exists, against the backdrop of 700 foot cliffs.
